Continuous Improvement Builds Success

  • July 9, 2023
  • Andrew Hoffman

Kaizen is a Japanese philosophy meaning continuous improvement builds success. The term Kaizen originated in the manufacturing sector, and basically speaks to the process of making continuous small improvements toward your goals, rather than going after larger steps.

At first, I suggest focusing on the following, to start your journey of continuous improvement:

Select one important thing you need to do in the next period of a week or two.

Initially, try using the Kaizen philosophy while doing your market research by talking with five potential customers from your target market. Initially, this step will help you validate your ideas. For now, just pick one thing. Remember, Kaizen is a process of continuous improvement built on multiple steps.

Break down the selected things you want to achieve into the smallest possible daily steps.

Focus on the minor daily actions that you can take to bring you closer to your goal. However, be sure each step is minimal so you can do it quickly without losing too much time or focus

Schedule implementation of these steps over the next week or two.

Open your to-do list and schedule small daily actions for the next week or two. Change begins with a mindset change, so begin with small attainable goals.

After a week or two, measure your achievement and repeat the process.

Finally, once you accomplish everything you scheduled from the previous step, it is time to measure your achievements. Indeed, as you do this, your self-confidence will rise. Your initial fears will begin to disappear when you see that you have moved forward, day by day, week by week, step by step.

It is undeniably normal to experience fear at the initial stage of taking on new challenges, especially if you need to give up something secure in order to have something new.

Accordingly, these ideas may help to conquer your fear of starting a new business.

Above all, these essential steps will help you overcome the fear of starting a new business. But, in the end, it is up to you.

We recognize digging into an extensive list can be time-consuming, and potentially intimidating. As such, our team helps streamline your project, tailoring it to your specific goals, skills, and financial ability.

More importantly, my hope is that this clarifies that this journey is not one you need to take alone. The entire My Franchise Partners team is here to help you navigate your business terrain, ensuring you are well-informed and confident in your decisions.

Sooner or later, you need to just start doing things, stop dreaming and start doing. Continuous improvement builds success

I have confidence that you will succeed.

Here’s to your entrepreneurial journey and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead. Always remember, your dream business might be just a franchise away.

Yours in entrepreneurship and beyond,
